We officially have a walking baby!! Landon has been taking a few wobbly steps each day but last night he walked all the way across the living room! It was cute, exciting and terrifying all at the same time 🙂 With each new milestone comes a whole new stage of unexpectedness (I’m going to pretend that’s a word).
My mom is really going to LOVE this post 🙂 Pretty sure her dream is to turn an old barn into a home. Or at least into an event venue that she can run a business out of. Well mama, here is your inspiration! This is a 161 year old grain mill that was bought and remodeled by a couple of antique dealers, obviously they knew what they were doing.
I’ve featured the home of Lauren Conrad before, her single-girl Beverly Hills penthouse apartment. Now…she’s unveiling the remodel on her new Pacific Palisades home she shares with her husband. What can I say…I like her style! The home is a wonderful mix of Bohemian elements, glamour and feminine style.
As I sit here typing this post, I’m in the lab waiting room in the middle of my glucose tolerance testing. What a fun way to start the day…got here at 7:30AM, had blood drawn and then drank the nasty sugar liquid. I think they should have to give at least 2 flavor options. As a child who NEVER liked orange soda, seeing that bottle of orange liquid made me a little sick just thinking about it.
I’ve been working like a mad woman on so many different things…baby shower details, baby registry lists, nursery design, plus getting some random projects finished up around the house before baby arrives. Planning for baby is so much more overwhelming than you originally think it is. I want to tie up loose ends on things that have been sitting that I know will not be a priority after baby arrives, plus baby classes, all the things you have to think about and buy (some of which requires research into the best of the best, if you’re crazy like me) and on top of that, not always feeling the greatest while doing it. Not to mention working a full-time job. I’m tired just typing this!
The weather lately you guys…it feels like summertime in the Northwest! And I am LOVING every minute of it!! It is making me ready to get back outside and get some outdoor projects done, like finishing our back deck which sat half-finished all winter…oops.
I’m having an INSANELY lazy day today and I’m loving every minute of it! I was up at 4:30am the last 2 mornings for work and it really took it’s toll. This morning I slept in late, had breakfast and coffee with my hubby and am now laying in bed, blogging and watching…you guessed it…re-runs of Fixer Upper (it’s Tuesday, isn’t that what everyone does on Tuesday?) 🙂
Happy Father’s Day to all the fathers and grandfathers I know! And a special shout out to my own dad! You have set the most amazing example for me of strength, support and unconditional love. You work tirelessly to take care of our family, day in and day out. You have raised 3 intelligent, driven and loyal daughters who have an incredible role model for what a husband and father should be. Thank you for all you do! I love you!
