I am Jamie Blackwood and the gal behind the computer at Just Like Playing House. I am a housewife and mama in the Pacific Northwest who is obsessed with making my house a home and doing as much as possible with my own two hands.
When I was a little girl I loved to play house and would often imagine what my adult life would be like. Of course, back then I thought it would look much more like a fairytale. And now, here it is, in all it’s non-royal glory.
I love absolutely everything that comes with being the “lady of the house”, from baking and cooking to DIY and remodeling. My hope is to share my experiences with anyone willing to follow along, to give you ideas for your next meal, party or project and hopefully make you chuckle along the way.
